Seoul Botanical Garden, Greenhouse and Park

Fans of greenery and nature, get ready for Seoul’s newest botanical park opening in Gangseo-gu, Seoul!

The Seoul Botanic Park, which has been on a trial run since October 11th, 2018, officially opened on May 1st! During the pilot operation, 2.5 million people went to visit the park built just near Magoknaru Station (AREX line and Line 9).

The botanical garden (Korean name: 서울식물원) will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, with adult tickets running 5,000 won and youth and children 3,000 won and 2,000 won. The nearby small forests, lake, and wetland will be open 24 hours a day with no admission fee.

The indoor and outdoor garden will be home to plants that are native to Korea, as well as plants 500 species of rare plants. They plan to collect up to 8,000 plant species by 2028.

Being in the concrete jungle of Seoul can make you forget that nature…exists. Grab your friends, pack up your kids, gather whoever and make a date out of the Seoul Botanic Park.
