Incheon Airport Being Offered Great Direct Service By KTX
Table of contents

(Now History) Korail briefly offered direct KTX high‑speed train services from cities like Busan, Gwangju, Mokpo, Suncheon, and Seoul Station to Incheon International Airport, allowing some travelers to ride straight through without changing to the Airport Railroad Express (AREX).

However, due to low ridership and operational issues, Korail suspended the Incheon Airport KTX service in March 2018, and the route was officially abolished later that year. Today, there is no direct KTX service into Incheon Airport; passengers connect via AREX, regular airport trains, or airport limousine buses instead.

For current train schedules anywhere in Korea, including KTX to major cities and transfers toward the airport, check the official Korail website at www.letskorail.com. To plan your journey, see our updated guide on how to travel around Korea by KTX and other trains.
