Soak Lifestyle’s March Brunch Focuses on Western vs. Korean Makeup Style

On a sunny and crisp March 8th, Soak Lifestyle (headed by CEO Judy Kim) held their second “Blogger’s Brunch” in Myeongdong. The goal of the event is to bring together influencers living in Korea and Korean beauty brands. Sponsoring the event was the cute and bubbly cafe Urban Space, as well as Fresh Code with amazing healthy salad boxes and Vineworks Korea with a crash course in wine tasting.

With a theme of “Western vs Korean Makeup”, Soak’s second Blogger’s Brunch dove into the differences of western makeup style and Korean makeup style. Makeup artist Rachel Kim demonstrated with products by Pony Effect, Kaja Beauty and I’m Meme (by Memebox).

Highlighting differences from eyebrow shape to lip product application, Rachel Kim completed two different looks using all Korean products. With audience members from all different races, attendees could understand how to incorporate Korean products into their arsenal, while still flattering their own facial features.

Each attendee went home with a box of makeup products from the sponsors, including products that haven’t been released yet. Among these were Pony Effect foundation, Kaja Beauty (which was recently featured in the idol group (G)I-DLE – “Señorita” music video) highlighter, and I’m Meme’s cute blusher compact. In addition to this box, Umma Beauty provided a hair care goodie box, with their high-quality shampoo, hair tonic, and more.

Soak Lifestyle aims to cover all things Korean health and beauty, discussing everything from the latest brand launches and current trends to the latest innovations in cosmetic practices.  This is their second influencer networking event in Seoul. You can read about their first brunch here.
