Relieve your stress and enjoy your weekend in music this summer in Korea! At 10 Mag, we compiled a list of 2019’s music festivals, and there’s something for everyone, with EDM, Rock, K-pop, Hip-hop, and even Indie festivals.
For the Kpop fans out there, Dream Concert is THE event to attend! Considered as the number 1 event for Kpop in Korea, this concert takes places every year in Seoul, since 1995. This year, the lineup will be composed of some of the hottest and biggest names of the K-pop: Taemin, Red Velvet, NCT Dream, Mamamoo, Astro and more to be confirmed.
Greenplugged Seoul is held every year at Nanji Han River Park, around mid-May. As it names suggests, this an environmentally-friendly music festival, and thus all the festival’s printing is done on recycled paper and soy ink. Often referred to as Korea’s Coachella, this festival features seven different stages, where you will be able to enjoy various genres of music, from rock, R&B, Hip-pop, indie music to electronic.
Held annually since 2007, the Seoul Jazz Festival is a two-day festival that will take place in Songpa-gu. For this year’s festivities, famous international and Korean artists will join, like Clean Bandit, Rudimental, Fitz and The Tantrums, Dean, Crush, Leehi, and many others. 1-day pass and 2-days passes are available.
EDM lovers, the Seoul World DJ Festival is coming on June 1st and 2nd! Every year the venue features many DJs coming from all around the world. This year, the festival will take place at Seoul Land, an amusement park in the south part of Seoul. The line-up for 2019 as yet to be released, so stay tuned as this page will be updated.
DMZ Peace Train Music Festival is an annual festival celebrating its second anniversary this year. The purpose of this festival is “Through music, let’s transcend politics, economy, ideology, and experience freedom and peace”, which can explain the location of the festival right next to the DMZ separating South and North Korea. The festival will feature many artists, including Korean indie-rock band Hyukoh, John Cale from the Velvet Underground, Cui Jian aka “the father of Chinese rock”, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Guampara Music from Cuba, and many others.
Who hasn’t heard of Ultra? With annual shows in over 20 cities all over the world, Ultra is considered as the world’s no.1 festival. In Korea, it’s no doubt the hottest festival to attend with locals, as well as celebrities and Instagram stars who come to party throughout the day. This year’s performances will include big names such as Martin Garrix, Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia, Virtualself and many others.
IT’S A FEST! is a free rock festival organized by World Domination, Inc. and taking place on June 15th and 16th. IT’S A FEST! has a lineup of nearly 20 bands, with some of the best punk, ska, and alternative bands Korea has to offer along with some special guests from outside of Korea. This beach festival will feature beach bungalows, camping, bbq, bonfires…. everything you need to start your summer right.
For its 6th birthday, 5tardium music festival is going all out with a newly designed Pentagon shaped stage, improved sound equipment, and better lightings, visuals, and lasers. Prepare for 2 crazy days of EDM with performers such as SAID THE SKY, Darren Styles, SASASAS, Markus Schulz, Sullivan King, ZOMBOY, PEGBOARD NERDS and others.

Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival | Rock | Yeonsu-gu, Incheon
Each year, one of Korea’s biggest annual rock concerts is held in the city of Incheon. Many Korean and international bands will take the stage at this major outdoor music festival. The lineup and dates for 2019 are yet to be released, but you can expect it this summer!
Spectrum Dance & Music Festival is back this year with its “Project Humanoid” theme. You will be able to experience different performances with fantastic stages, but also various genres of music. This year’s lineup is yet to be released.
