UFC Fight Night tix now on sale

The Banyan Tree Club and Spa hosted today’s “ticket open” event for the Nov 28 UFC Fight Night Seoul, but I’d call it more of a non-event. Sure “Cro Crop” Filipovic and Benson “Smooth” Henderson  were there as the foreigner contingent—even though the latter’s mother is Korea—while “Stun Gun” Dong-hyun Kim and “Sexyama” Sung-hoon Choo (or is it Yoshihiro Akiyama?) represented the locals. All big names according to local media, some of whom call this a “star-studded” lineup, but maybe a yawner for die-hard UFC fans. As for the press conference, the aforementioned fighters were fairly lifeless, perhaps due to jet-lag, while the media corps only perked up when a buxom “Octagon Girl” took the stage, and following four canned inquires relayed by the co-emcees, the 200 hundred or so reporters present managed three questions combined during the Q&A session: THREE! My goodness, hopefully come November the crisp Autumn air will breathe life into everyone inside the Olympic Gymnasium. As for any news, one interesting item is the recruitment of a local octagon girl for the fight night, with applications accepted from today through Oct 12, but note that it’s limited to Korean citizens. Tickets are available on www.interpark.comand range from KRW77,000 to KRW264,000, with VIP packages going for a cool KRW495,000.
