Have you been wondering where you can find English service at a hair salon in Seoul? You may be in need of a good haircut but afraid of walking into any Korean hair salon that may not have English speakers. We’ve done the work for you by calling hair salons in Seoul and finding which ones have reliable English-speaking stylists to get you your perfect haircut.

Suin’s Hair Salon | Gangnam-gu, Seoul

Suin’s Hair Salon is all the hype among foreigners. With a 4.9 star rating and over 230 reviews on Facebook, there’s is no doubt that the service is more than satisfactory. They have been operating for 15 years, working with a diverse set of clients, providing multiple services including extensions, coloring, cut, perms, treatments, and makeup.

Although the stylists themselves may not speak English, there are interpreters that are available from 1-9 PM. You can check out the multiple certifications that the hair stylists and makeup artist have completed as well as the movies, magazines, and TV shows they have worked with on their website.

Lucy’s Hair | Seodaemun-gu, Seoul

Lucy Hair, located in Sinchon, is a favorite among foreigners in Seoul. Lucy, the manager, and chief stylist, along with 3 other stylists can speak English. The stylists all have diverse experience (Hair & Joy Seoul, Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon London) and certifications from diploma programs. Juno Hair | Seoul, South Korea

Juno Hair is a well known, high-quality beauty salon with many chains throughout Korea. They have 3 stores just in Myeongdong and is a popular choice among foreigners. Depending on the area, there are English-speaking staff who can help foreigners get the service they need.

On their site, you can check out each specific location and see which one is closest to you. However, note that not all locations have English-speaking staff. The salons in Myeongdong or Hongdae areas will be more likely to have English-speakers. Juno Hair was voted Best Hair Salon in the 10 Magazine Best of Seoul 2018 competition!

Park Jun Beauty Lab | Jung-gu, Seoul

Park Jun Beauty Lab is a high-quality beauty salon with chains throughout Korea and other countries. The Myeongdong location is especially popular with foreigners in Seoul. The basic haircuts for women and men start from about 25,000 won and their perms start from about 100,000 won. While you probably cannot find fluent English-speaking staff at every location, the stores in Myeongdong and Hongdae will have staff who can communicate with foreigners and help get them the service they need.


Evanstyle | Mapo-gu, Seoul

Evanstyle is a men’s only salon, with locations in both Hongdae and Gangnam. Their Hongdae location offers services in English, but be sure to call in advance to book an English-speaking designer. Evanstyle is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. The salon’s hours are 1:00pm-10:00pm Wednesdays-Sundays every week. Appointments are required can be made by calling 02-312-7273 (English available).

Hair & Joy | Mapo-gu, Seoul

Jay’s Hairdressing | Yongsan-gu, Seoul

If you are feeling adventurous and are looking to achieve a stylish look, you might want to pay a visit to Jay’s Hairdresser. Whether it be an asymmetrical short cut, gray hair coloring, or an undercut, Jay has got you covered.  He has received training from Toni and Guy and Vidal Sassoon in the UK and has been working with an international clientele for seven years, using products from Loreal Hair, Wella, and Shiseido.
