Chongshin Korean Language Institute Curriculum

Regular Course

Korean Language Regular Program includes four semesters in a year (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter). The duration of one semester is 10 weeks. Korean Language Regular Course intended for foreign as well as ethnic Korean students who want to systematically study Korean language and after reaching appropriate proficiency, going to enroll in one of the Korean universities for undergraduate or master degree programs or seeking a job. The effectiveness of this educational program is that it is based on an emphasis on speech, listening, reading and writing. For each class (level), there are two teachers who guide each student at each process of learning, help improve communication skills, and also help the student to adapt to Korean life and culture.

This class is 10 weeks long and is from Monday to Friday. There are 6 levels that range from Beginner to Advanced. You must attend at least 80% of the class hours and gain 70 points in total for the midterm and final exam in order to progress to the next level. 

They also offer free online courses. 

Admission Procedure

Applicants must at least hold a high school diploma in order to enter the program. You should submit an application form (can be found on website) and self-introduction in order to apply, as well as a copy of your passport, diploma, transcript, certificate of balance in a bank account, and a passport or ID copy of both parents. There are separate requirements for Chinese applicants.

Once you get your result, you can pay your tuition and submit a receipt to receive a course enrollment certificate. 

Tuition & Fees

Entrance fee ₩50,000

Tuition: ₩1,400,000 per semester

Textbook fee: ₩40-65,000, separate from tuition

Services And Accommodations

The school does provide dormitory accommodation for students enrolled in the Korean language program. You can apply by downloading their application from the homepage, confirming dormitory admission, and paying the fee. Dorms include a desk, closet, bed, internet, floor heating, bathrooms, etc. They also offer other options like gositels and common living. 

If you wish to apply to the Korean Language Institute, you must apply for a student visa (D-4) or for a short-term visa (C-3). To apply for a student visa, first you must apply for admission and be accepted to CSKSLI in advance, at least one month beforehand. After being accepted, the university will produce the original acceptance document <Letter of Admission> which you will have to bring to the Korean Embassy to obtain a visa.
