If you’re looking to get away from the bustle of downtown Seoul and escape to a peaceful place full of beautiful outdoor art, wall fences and rooftop paintings, then trying taking a stroll through Ihwa Mural Village!
In the past, this area was full of small steel factories. After the 2006 “Art in City Project,” however, the neighborhood was revitalized by local artists who made the walls and spaces their own.
Also known as the hilly “moon village,” Ihwa Mural Village can be quite a walk so be prepared. As you walk around, you can rent old Korean school uniforms, cafe hop, or learn about the area’s history.
