The best time to visit Jeongdong Observatory is in the fall or winter seasons. The observatory is famous for its view of the foliage surrounding Deoksugung Palace in the fall and it only gets better in the winter when it is blanketed in a white layer of snow. How to get to Jeongdong Observatory and Cafe Darak
To get to the observatory you can take the line 2 (green line) or line 1 (blue line) to City Hall Station. At the station, you will leave from exit 12 if you took the green line or exit 1 from the blue line.
Once you exit the station, you should go up the street from the station and the Seoul City Hall Seosomun building will be the first of the city hall buildings on your left. The Seosomun building is attached to Sinhan Bank and there will be many signs inside the building that will direct you to the observatory floor.
