Description

Known for its kimchi-jjigae (김치찌개), Gwanghwamun Jip (광화문집) is hole-in-the-wall restaurant located in the south part of Seoul. It is run and operated by three women, who each year prepare about 2,000 heads of kimchi. A popular combination to order at this restaurant is the kimchi-jjigae (김치찌개) and egg roll (계란밀이) which is filled with chopped scallions. Gwanghwamun Jip prides itself on its MSG-free stew that is filled with the perfect balance of ripened kimchi and pork. Its kimchi-jjigae (김치찌개) is brought in a pot to the broilers on the table where it is cooked right in front of you.
