July 1, 2014, Tokyo, Japan—UNIQLO has selected Star Wars as the theme for its annual UT Grand Prix T-shirt design contest. Interest in Star Wars is particularly high with the upcoming 2015 release of Star Wars Episode VII, and the top designs will feature in UNIQLO’s 2015 Spring, Summer collection, available at UNIQLO stores in 16 countries and regions around the world, and online. Winners of the Grand Prize and the Judging Committee Special Prize will also receive a tour of Lucasfilms Headquarters in San Francisco, California. UTGP_bnr_336_280

The contest is open to everyone worldwide, with entries accepted from July 14 to August 31, 2014. Details are available on the UT Grand Prix 2015 website. The UT Grand Prix design contest started in 2005. Previous themes include Six World-Renowned Artists, including Madonna and KISS, in 2013, Coca-Cola in 2012, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in 2011.
