Whether you wanna groove along to jazzy tunes or dance the night away with the hottest DJs, Korea has a great music festival to suit your tastes.
Here at 10 Magazine, we’ve compiled a list of 9 summer music festivals this summer, in order of when they’re happening!
1. Seoul Jazz Festival | Olympic Park

Korea’s festival season will kick off with the Seoul Jazz Festival, a two-day fest that will take place at Seoul Jamsil Olympic Park. Held annually since 2007, the 12th edition will feature performances by Lauryn Hill, Branford Marsalis Quartet, Jessie J, Heize, Hyuk Oh, and more. 2. Seoul World DJ Festival | Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium

EDM lovers can rejoice, as the Seoul World DJ Festival is coming soon. As the name suggests, the festival will feature a number of DJs from around the world, including big names like Porter Robinson, Black Tiger Sex Machine, and Boys Noize. The events are set to take place on May 26 and 27 at Jamsil Olympic Stadium. One day passes will cost 89,000 KRW, and two-day passes are priced at 119,000 KRW. 3. Ultra Music Festival Korea | Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium

If you’re big on EDM, chances are you’ve already heard of Ultra. With annual shows in over 20 cities all over the world, Ultra expanded to Seoul in 2012 as a two-day festival event. Due to its gaining popularity, Ultra Korea now lasts three days! This year’s performances will include big names such as The Chainsmokers, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Galantis and more! 4. Roleplay Music Festival | Nanji Hangang Park

New to the South Korean festival scene: Roleplay Music Festival. Taking place at the end of June, this festival combines visual stimulation with amazing performances. RPM stylizes itself as the first grand costume EDM festival. Make sure to come in your wildest and craziest party outfit! Lovers of EDM should definitely check out this new festival. 5. 5tardium | Seoul Jamsil Olympic Stadium

5tardium is a crazy EDM festival, which celebrates its 5th birthday this year. It has partnered up with Mercedes-Benz to host this year’s party, themed “Starroad.” Giant LED displays, lasers, helium balloons and more will create a dreamy, out-of-space experience. Combined with great tunes from Blasterjaxx, Cat Dealers, Head Hunter, Bryan Kearney and more, this festival is a must-visit for EDM lovers. In the city of Incheon, you’ll find one of Korea’s biggest annual rock concerts. From August 10-12, Pentaport will host a flurry of amazing performers, such as Daybreak, Nine Inch Nails, The Bloody Beetroots and My Bloody Valentine. 7. Seoul Soul Festival | TBA

EDM or rock not your thing? No big. For all of you R&B, soul, and hip-hop lovers, Seoul Soul Festival is where it’s at. As one of the largest festivals of its kind in Asia, the Seoul Soul Festival has featured headliners such as Maxwell, Tyga, Ty Dolla $ign, and BJ the Chicago Kid in the past. Dates for 2018 are TBA, but this festival will likely take place around mid-September this year. Be prepared to celebrate the start of fall with this groovy, chill festival. 8. World Club Dome Korea | TBA

World Club Dome is a club-meets-festival 3-day event. The event originated in Frankfurt, Germany, as the “biggest club in the world” and has now expanded into Asia, taking place in Korea for the first time last year. 2019’s line-up will include performances by EDM superstars Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Armin Van Buuren.
