The 2015 SIWA & Diplomatic Community Bazaar will take place on Monday, November 9th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Lotte Hotel Seoul. As one of the largest international fundraising events in Seoul, the Bazaar has raised over two billion won for Korean charities since the 1960s.
As always, admission to the event is free for all visitors.
More than 40 embassies, women’s clubs, local businesses, sponsors, welfare organizations, and SIWA volunteers will be joining hands to offer visitors a truly international experience. Six of the seven continents will be represented through their respective ethnic cuisines and unique products, and there will also be entertaining performances and raffle events throughout the day. “This international shopping extravaganza promises to be an entertaining cultural experience. Everyone is invited to come and celebrate together the diverse cultures represented in Seoul” says Bazaar Chair, Courtney Snede.
The event is expected to attract approximately 5,000 visitors, and all proceeds generated by SIWA from the event will be donated to approximately 20 Korean charities. “The Bazaar fundraising event provides a platform for SIWA and Diplomatic Community to remember the marginalized and the most vulnerable segment of the population in Korea” (Anne Choe, SIWA President).
