SIWA Annual Charity Gala: Caribbean Paradise

Seoul International Women’s Association (SIWA) will host its “Caribbean Paradise” themed Annual Charity Gala on March 7th from 6:00 pm to 11:59 pm at the Conrad Seoul Hotel Ballroom in Yeouido. The evening will kick off with a cocktail hour where tropical beverages and hors d’ oeuvres are served and will continue with entertainment, raffles, dancing and a four-course meal accompanied by fine imported wine.

Net proceeds from the event, including the silent auction and raffles, will be distributed to three local Korean charities; Anna’s House, a homeless shelter founded by Father Vincenzo Bordo in 1998, providing food and various medical services to the homeless; Peace House, started by a woman in 1985 in the mountains of Hwacheon Goon, currently home to 24 physically and mentally disabled adults and children; Yang Yang Children’s Welfare Center, run by Pastor Chun In-suk and two teachers, providing after-school care for over 30 elementary, middle and high school students from low-income households.

In the past, prizes have been donated by renowned designer Wooyoungmi, Renaissance Hotel, Kay Unger New York, Nike, and local spas to name a few.

SIWA, as the premier international women’s organization, has been around for more than 50 years and consists of women from over 40 countries. The organization holds many fundraisers and this Gala is the second largest event after the Bazaar.

Price for non-member is W165,000, SIWA Member/ Guests are W150,000 and a Group Table (10 tickets) is W1,350,000.
