Reggae has been growing fast in popularity in Korea and fans are in for a treat next week as celebrated Reggae star Pato Banton comes to town, on his first visit to Korea.
Currently on his Asian Tour, Pato Banton, who has been an artist for over three decades, will stop by Seoul for a one-night-only show in Hongdae’s stay. round. GEE Art Hall Lounge on June 16th. Featuring special guests from the Reggae community; TV stars and popular group Rude Paper, beloved expat Reggae artist JoshRoy, and uniquely Reggae Korean band NST & The Soul Sauce. You can also expect to see well-known selectas Sugar Suk-Yuel and Smiley Song.
Reggae vocalist and keyboardist Antoinette Rootsdawtah joins her partner Pato Banton on his tour. Together they have been entertaining audiences and bringing lasting memories for those who are still discovering their music or reliving some great songs like Gwarn, Go Pato, Bubblin’Hot Don’t Sniff Coke, Baby Come Back, and Legalize It.
Tickets for the show, which is presented by Eastern Sound Systems, are available from Easy Booking for KRW25,000, but you can also get them at the door for KRW30,000.

Free Reggae Concert at Sejong Art Center
Following his concert on Thursday and as a special bonus for Reggae fans, Pato Banton will perform free alongside Antoinette Rootsdawtah with the support of NST & The Soul Sauce band on the steps of the Sejong Art Center at Gwanwamun Station from 3pm – 5pm.
For this event and as a world premiere Pato Banton and JoshRoy will perform a new song that they wrote together.
