The New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Korea, AKA “The Kiwi Chamber,” will once again host two New Zealand Wine Festival events this year, with the first event taking place on Saturday, May 28 from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Park Hyatt Busan. The second will be held on Saturday, June 4 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the picturesque Waterfall Garden of the Grand Hyatt Seoul.
2016 New Zealand Wine Festival Highlights New FTA
“This will be our eighth year of running the New Zealand Wine Festival Seoul event and fourth time for the NZWF in Busan,” remarked Dr. Tony Garrett, Chairman of The Kiwi Chamber. “This year is quite special as it is the first in which we can celebrate the recently enacted Korea-New Zealand FTA, which removed all tariffs on New Zealand wine.”
To leverage the important trade deal, which came into effect on December 20, 2015, the New Zealand Wine Festivals will offer enthusiasts a chance to enjoy over 80 premium New Zealand red and white wines from over 25 participating vineyards. To complement the fine wine, both hotels will offer a world-class New Zealand-themed culinary experience coupled with the finest service, including an exquisite tapas buffet in Busan and a superb outdoor BBQ-style buffet in Seoul.
With its unique geography, soil, microclimates and cool maritime conditions, New Zealand’s distinct grape-growing regions offer fine vintages that are both exciting and special. New Zealand continues to achieve global recognition and is well-known among wine lovers for its Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough region), Chardonnay and premium red wines (Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne regions) and Pinot Noir (Martinborough and Central Otago regions).

Tickets for are W80,000 for Kiwi Chamber and DINE@HYATT members, W100,000 for non-members and W110,000 at the door.
