Using a proxy to access Netflix in Korea? You won’t have to deal with slow streaming much longer. Following a launch in Japan last week, Netflix has plans to join the South Korean market in January 2016.

Netflix, an American subscription based, on-demand streaming site, is currently available in more than 50 countries.

According to a report by The Korea Times, Netflix is “seeking to form strategic partnerships with Korean mobile carriers and leading terrestrial broadcasters,” in preparation for their launch date.

By October 2015, it will have joined markets in Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Iceland with plans to launch in the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Turkey. By the end of 2016, Netflix may be available in 200+ countries.
