The New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Korea, known as “The Kiwi Chamber,” will host its annual New Zealand Wine Festivals in Seoul on Saturday, May 26 and in Busan on Saturday, June 2. Both events will run from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the wine festival in Seoul, this year’s event will once again be held at the scenic outdoor waterfall garden of the Grand Hyatt Seoul, while the sixth Busan edition will venture to the new Ananti Cove Resort, a majestic property located just up the coast from Haeundae Beach.

Under the theme “Pure Discovery New Zealand Wine,” the two New Zealand wine festivals will offer wine connoisseurs a selection of quality reds and whites from over 20 of the country’s top vineyards. The theme inspires all guests to return to the roots of “Pure New Zealand” and experience the true meaning of oenophilia—the love of wine. “This year is very special for the Kiwi Chamber as it marks our 10 th anniversary of hosting the event in Seoul,” remarked Dr. Tony Garrett, Chairman of The Kiwi Chamber.
“This is also our sixth year in Busan and we are excited to host this year’s event at the new Ananti Cove Resort, which offers spectacular views of the area’s coastline.” Since the Korea-New Zealand FTA took effect in December 2015, total New Zealand wine exports to Korea have increased by 45% and New Zealand is the 10 th largest exporter to Korea. With wine import tariffs now eliminated, there are over 50 premium New Zealand wine brands available in Korea for wine lovers to discover. “The popularity and growth of New Zealand wine and the chamber’s wine festivals in Korea has been fun to watch,” said Dr. Garrett. “This is directly in line with the Kiwi Chamber’s initiatives to support business and industry, and our hope is to continue this effort well into the future.”

As part of the “Pure Discovery New Zealand” backdrop, both venues will offer a superb Kiwi-themed gastronomic experience coupled with the finest service, including a casual outdoor BBQ-style buffet in Seoul and a gourmet buffet in Busan. There will also be a pavilion-style special area to display a range of quality New Zealand food and beverage products to guests at both events. Both festivals will feature lucky draws with many outstanding prizes, including hotel packages, gift sets and our grand prize of one economy return ticket to New Zealand for each event from sponsor Singapore Airlines.
Tickets for the individual events are 100,000 won for Kiwi Chamber members, 120,000 won for non-members and 130,000 won for at-door purchases. Group discounts are also available for 100,000 won per ticket for groups of eight or larger. In the event of inclement weather, the Grand Hyatt Seoul festivities will be held indoors.
