Seoul Lotus Lantern Festival (May 3rd – 12, 2019) is originally a Buddhist event celebrated the week before the birth of Buddha. Now, it is only a cultural event that Koreans come to celebrate all together, no matter what their religious background. Each year, t<\/span>he festivities are featuring lantern parades, traditional lanterns displays, traditional cultural events, and performances, Buddhist cheer rally, lotus lantern making events, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Traditional Lantern Displays:<\/strong> May 3rd – 12th, 2019 at Jogyesa Temple, Bongeunsa Temple and Cheonggyecheon Stream<\/p>\n\n\n\n Buddhist Cheer Rally:<\/strong> May 4th, 2019. From 4:30 pm to 6 pm at Dongguk University Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lantern Parade:<\/strong> May 4th, 2019. From 7 pm to 9:30 pm. The parade is happening at Jongno Street, starting from Dongdaemun Gate to Jogyesa Temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Post-Parade Celebration:<\/strong> May 4, 2019. From 9:30 pm to 11 pm at Jonggak Intersection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Traditional Cultural Events:<\/strong> May 5, 2019. From 12 pm to 7 pm. The events are located in the street in front of Jogyesa Temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cultural Performances:<\/strong> May 5, 2019. From 12 pm to 6 pm at the stage in front of Jogyesa Temple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Final Celebration (parade): <\/strong>May 5, 2019.
