This observatory offers visitors a stunning view of the Deoksugung Palace grounds and City Hall, and because it is sponsored by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, it is completely free to visit and enjoy. If you want to experience a beautiful panoramic view of one of the hearts of Seoul, Jeongdong observatory is the perfect place to go. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attached to Jeongdong Observatory you will also find a cafe sponsored by the ISEOULU campaign, Cafe Darak. Cafe Darak offers visitors to Jeongdong Observatory a range of snacks and refreshments to enjoy with the beautiful view of one of the palaces. At Cafe Darak, you can expect to find lower prices than average on the menu thanks to the ISEOULU campaign and government promotions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aside from the observatory and cafe areas, the 13th floor of the Seoul City Hall Seosomun building also serves as a history and photo exhibition area that showcases what Jeongdong looked like in the past. You can freely enjoy the photo exhibition and learn more about the history of the old city hall as you sip on coffee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best time to visit Jeongdong Observatory is in the fall or winter seasons. The observatory is famous for its view of the foliage surrounding Deoksugung Palace in the fall and it only gets better in the winter when it is blanketed in a white layer of snow.           How to get to Jeongdong Observatory and Cafe Darak<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          To get to the observatory you can take the line 2 (green line) or line 1 (blue line) to City Hall Station. At the station, you will leave from exit 12 if you took the green line or exit 1 from the blue line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Once you exit the station, you should go up the street from the station and the Seoul City Hall Seosomun building will be the first of the city hall buildings on your left. The Seosomun building is attached to Sinhan Bank and there will be many signs inside the building that will direct you to the observatory floor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
