Housed in what was formerly a car garage, The Workshop draws its design ethic from the previous tenants: while keeping the flooring and walls intact, its new occupants have created an industrial feel that is still warm and inviting.Look out for the the live acoustic Saturdays and for the soon to be launched Homecooked Wednesdays with winter specials of mulled wine, stew and a vegetarian coconut lentil curry. The menu is full of good old fashion workman’s food: hearty pies with a range of fillings courtesy of local institute Braai Republic, a hefty sausage platter, chicken tenders, and the french workman’s platter — packed full of cheeses, cold cuts, olives, and bread.Pair your pub food with one of the local or international beers on tap, or choose from the fridge crammed full of old favourites and plenty of new discoveries.
