Music Cities Convention Seoul is co-organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Music Cities Events & Sound Diplomacy.

This convention will include 15+ international experts; two days of presentations, panel discussions, and roundtable sessions; a welcome reception and two showcase/evening events; 50+ international and 250+ Korean delegates; and networking opportunities. You will have a chance to experience Seoul’s music scene and be able to go on a Seoul music tour.

The convention will cover topics like global music city strategies, music and economic growth, music and health, music and peace, music tourism, community building, city development, music city and technology, music and education, and the role of music in future cities and more.

The event will last from November 10th-12th. On Nov 10, there will be an opening reception at the Namsan Hanok Village. On the 11th, they will have the first day of the convention as well as an evening event and showcase at the Platform Changdong 61. On the 12th, the second day of the convention will take place at the Hanok Village as well as a music tour around the city.

This convention will have 300+ delegates attending from all over the world. Job titles will include: mayor, musician, festival/event director, real estate CEO, university professor, record label/promoter/management executive, music district director, secretary of culture, nighttime economy manager, tourism board/association CEO, music industry development director, theatre director, council leader, head of economic development, music and health initiative director, journalist, business development manager & many more.

For South Korean delegates, tickets cost $50 USD for early bird tickets (until August 31st 2020) and $85 for general admission. For international delegates, early bird tickets range from $50-200, general admission is $250, and student tickets are $50. Refunds are valid up to 7 days before the event.
