DMZ Peace Train Music Festival 2019

DMZ Peace Train Music Festival is an annual festival celebrating its second anniversary this year, from June 5th to 9th. The purpose of this festival is “Through music, let’s transcend politics, economy, ideology, and experience freedom and peace”, which can explain the location of the festival right next to the DMZ separating South and North Korea. The festival will feature many artists, including Korean indie-rock band Hyukoh, John Cale from the Velvet Underground, Cui Jian aka “the father of Chinese rock”, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, Guampara Music from Cuba, and many others. How to get there

Platform Changdong 61: 1-9 Chang-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul To get to Platform Changdong 61, take the subway to Chang-dong Station (line 1 or 4, exit 1). Cheorwon: To get to Cheorwon, go to Suyu Station (line 4, exit 4), walk straight for a few meters to the 2nd bus stop “Suyu Station (Intercity) Bus Stop / 수유역(시외버스) 정류장 승차”. Take the intercity bus 3005 for 1h45 to Cheorwon. Free shuttle buses will be available to transport you to the festival location, so check the festival’s website for updates.
