Daegwallyeong Snow Festival

The Daegwallyeong Snow Festival started in 1993 and was selected as one of the top twelve cultural festivals in Korea in the year 2000. Daegwallyeong, which is the festival’s venue is often referred to as the Alps of Korea due to its 700 m high valley that receives heavy snowfall every winter. Visitors can experience the ice sculpture park, snowman park, take pictures at the snow land photo zone, and many more.

How to get there

By Bus: From Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, take an intercity bus to Heonggye. – Exit to the right of Heonggye Bus Terminal. – Walk along Daegwallyeong-ro street until you reach Heonggye Rotary. – Turn right onto Jangseon-gil road and the festival is about 200 m ahead.
