Damyang Bamboo Garden (or Forest), called Juknokwon in Korean, is located in Damyang city, Jeollanam-do, in the South of Korea. The city is mostly known for its bamboo forests and the Bamboo Festival occurring each May in Damyang Bamboo Garden. Juknokwon features a pavilion, an artificial waterfall and an eco-exhibition center. You can visit the garden after the sunset, and enjoy the lightings of the bamboos and walking paths.

Mar-Oct: 9 am – 7 pm (Last admission 6 pm).
Nov-Feb: 9 am – 6 pm (Last admission 5:30 pm).
How to get there

To get to the garden, it will take you a little bit more than 3 hours from Seoul.
You can take a train to Gwangju from Yongsan Station and then take bus 311 to Juknokwon (3 hours travel).
You can also take an express bus to Damyang from Central City Bus Terminal (Seoul). Once at Damyang Bus Terminal, cross the road and take a Bongsan-Damyang route bus to Juknokwon bus stop.
