Description

Seongsan Ilchulbong, also called ‘Sunrise Peak’, is an archetypal tuff cone formed by a volcanic eruption from over 100,000 years ago. Located east of Jeju Island, Seongsan Ilchulbong is a natural monument and is designated as one of the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE. The volcanic eruption is famous for its big crater, which surrounded by 99 sharp rocks but also for the view of the sunrise and the sundown.
