Jumunjin Beach is located in the northern side of Gangneung-si, Gangwon-do and is popular among families due to the shallow water. This beach is also known for its various kinds of rocks. The legendary rock called Adeulbawi Rock at this location will supposedly grant you a son. You can also find the Guryong Waterfall, with 9 different waterfalls of different sizes, here.
Jumunjin Beach is usually extremely busy during peak seasons. Outside of the busiest month of the year (July), Jumunjin Beach is peaceful and accessible, and the slides, banana boats and jet-skis of the peak season are nowhere to be seen. Here, visitors can gather clams, fish in the nearby lake, or climb on Jumunjin’s natural rock playgrounds. A popular Korean drama called “Goblin” was filmed at this spot!
