Winter Korean: Language Education Center

Winter Korean Language Education Center is a professional institute teaching conversational and TOPIK Korean. All classes work with a small number of students(maximum 6 persons), allowing for a lot of personalized attention from teachers.

They also have a cute mascot called Winter that they put on notebooks, stickers, and dolls, hoping that it can be with you as you learn Korea, no matter how hard it is.

Winter Korean Curriculum

Winter Korean offers nine courses: conversation, TOPIK, speaking, 1:1 lecture, visiting lecture, special programs, short-term class, Skype class, and lessons for tourists.

Conversation

These small-group conversation classes have 7 levels, in which you learn speaking, writing, reading, and listening. They provide various learning materials such as news, dramas, movies, and even TOPIK. If you miss your class, you can make up classes at different regular classes within the scheduled month. In this case, the classes that you make up may differ in level and teacher

There is a regular class that meets four days a week with three different teachers for vocabulary/listening, grammar/writing, and reading/speaking. The morning classes meet from 10am-1pm, and the afternoon class meets from 2-5pm. There is a class that meets 2 or 3 times a week, either MWF or Tue/Thur from 2-4pm or 4-6pm, and there is also an evening class on either Mon/Wed or Tue/Thur from 7-9pm. Additionally, there is a Saturday class from either 10am-12:50pm or 2-4:50pm.

All classes are also available through Skype.

TOPIK

There are professional teachers for each section of writing, reading, and listening, as well as a special class for intensive training for writing for TOPIK 2. A bi-weekly mock TOPIK exam will prepare you for the real test. You can register and start lessons anytime, and if you miss your class you can make up classes at different regular classes within the scheduled month, but those classes might be different with your level and teacher. The class size is 3-4 people with a maximum of 6.

There is an intensive TOPIK course with options for days and sections, as well as a regular version. They also have evening classes on Mon/Wed and Tue/Thur.

Speaking

This class focuses on speaking instead of grammar from textbooks. You can practice the expressions and pronunciation that Korean people use in real life. This class is recommended for students who want to practice only speaking: you will practice speaking logically and fluently expressing your thoughts and opinions.

They offer classes 2 and 3 times a week on Tue/Thur and Mon/Wed/Fri, an evening class on either Mon/Wed or Tue/Thur, and a Saturday class. Only students at a level 3 or above can enroll in the speaking class.
