Meet the Author with John Delury
John Delury, renowned Chinese and North Korean historian, will give an in-depth talk about his new book Wealth and Power: China’s Long March to the Twenty-first Century, which he co-authored with the Asia Society Korea Center Director Orville Schell.
John Delury is an Assistant Professor of East Asian Studies at Yonsei University’s Graduate School of International Studies and Underwood International College in Seoul. He is also a Senior Fellow for the Asia Society’s Center for US-China relations, where he directed the China Boom Project as well as a task force on economic engagement with North Korea.
Professor Delury previously taught at Columbia, Brown, and Yale Universities, as well as Peking University in Beijing. His areas of expertise include China and North Korea.
Organized by the Asia Society Korea Center, the book talk will be moderated by H.E. William Paterson, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea and will take place Thursday, February 26.
