7 English-Speaking Vets Around South Korea

Living in a foreign country is usually fun and exciting, but taking care of a pet animal can sometimes prove to be difficult if there are language barriers involved between you and your veterinarian. 

That’s why here at 10 Magazine, we’ve compiled a list of 7 English-speaking vets around Korea, both in and outside of Seoul!

English-Speaking Vets in Seoul

Acris Animal Medical Center | Gangnam-gu, Seoul

Acris Animal Medical Center is a 24 hour vet clinic located in Nonhyeon that offers English speaking services. The clinic provides services for dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, turtles and other kinds of exotic pets. It specializes in performing diagnoses, surgeries, advanced therapy, and endoscopy and will even help you prepare to travel overseas with your pet.

Itaewon Animal Hospital | Yongsan-gu, Itaewon  

Established in 1967, Itaewon Animal Hospital is a family run vet clinic located near Noksapyeong Station. The clinic offers full veterinary services in English, and also offers additional services such as pet grooming, adoption, overseas travel documentation, and more. Walk-ins are welcome.

Chung Wha Animal Hospital | Yongsan-gu, Seoul

A complete animal hospital, with modern equipment and a caring compassionate staff, Chung Wha Animal Hospital provides consultations in English and specializes in the treatment of companion animals (dogs and cats). Chung Wha Animal Hospital is among the few 10-year members of the Korean Small Animal Hospital Association in the nation.

Oksu Soo Animal Hospital | Seongdong-gu, Seoul

Oksu Soo Animal Hospital is a veterinarian clinic that provides consultations and services in both Korean and English. Located in the Seongdong district of Seoul, Oksu Soo Animal Hospital is headed by Dr. Jason Kim, a completely bilingual trained and qualified veterinarian.

English-Speaking Vets outside of Seoul

Shin Jeju Animal Hospital | Nohyeong, Jeju-do

Shin Jeju Animal Hospital is a veterinary clinic located on Jeju Island. The clinic treats cats, dogs, and other small animals. Dr. Kang, who is bilingual in both Korean and English, runs the full veterinary practice and is also a part-time professor at Jeju National University of Veterinary Medicine. Most veterinarian services are offered here, but please note that pet transfer services are not available.

PetCare Animal Hospital | Gayadaero, Busan

PetCare Animal Hospital is a veterinary located in Busan. The clinic offers services such as bloodwork, surgeries, x-rays, grooming, microchipping, and overseas travel documents for animals. Kennelling services are also offered during weekdays. The head veterinarian Mina is able to communicate in English to foreign customers.

Any Pet Animal Hospital | Sinbu-dong, Cheonan

Located in Cheonan, Any Pet Animal Hospital is run by Dr Choi and his team of 3 veterinary nurses. Dr Choi is also a firm believer in holistic medicine and is qualified in acupuncture, oriental medicine and also western approaches to veterinary practices. The animal hospital also uses a point card system if you pay by cash. The points can then be redeemed to purchase pet supplies, but not eligible to be used for consultations or medications.
