Special Everland Events in February + 20% discount on tickets
Everland is offering a 20% discount to foreigners who are in Korea through February. All you need to do is show them the coupon below (print it out or show them on your phone) along with a passport or your alien registration card and you can receive the discounted price.
This February, Everland will be host to three special events that are sure to warm your hearts in this icy cold weather:
The Romantic Illumination Festival
Relive a fairytale in Everland, Korea’s largest theme park, through the Romantic Illumination Festival. Shimmering lights, fireworks at night, dazzling decorations and music are set up throughout the park to create an environment filled with romance and love.
The Romantic Magic Garden, under the theme of love and proposal, provides a dreamy ambiance for proposals and for couples to take beautiful photos. Magic in the Sky Season 2 holds dazzling fireworks and Rose Castle Music Lighting Show shows a dramatic performance of light and music.
Everland has something for kids as well. The Oriental Pororo Salad Bar, using children’s popular icon Pororo, the animated little penguin, is a buffet-style restaurant consisting of over 50 types of different dishes. Throughout the restaurant, pictures and sculptures of characters from Pororo greet excited children.
Also in the garden is a special wall for visitors to write their wishes for the year. People can write their wishes in a large van to escape from the cold. In the van, another event has been organized. The organization “Save the Children” has planned a hat-knitting program. Visitors can knit the hat themselves and send these hats to newborn babies in Africa or other Asian countries. The wish making and hat knitting take place from Wednesday to Sunday from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Those visiting Everland can take part in this wonderful festivity and share the love. The festival runs until the end of February.
Sled Park “Snow Buster” & Snow Festival
Take advantage of the cold weather and stop by Everland’s sled park for an amazing ride down the slippery slopes. Boasting one of the longest and fastest sled courses in Korea, Everland’s “Snow Buster” also has a tube lift, which helps riders reach the top without having to haul their tubes up the steep hills. In addition to the sledding, the park will also feature a Snow Safari in the Safari World exhibit, special winter food menu items at the various restaurants throughout the park, fun seasonal performances, and special winter souvenirs at the gift shop.
Lunar New Year Celebrations at Everland
For the Lunar New Year long weekend, theme park Everland has planned a Lunar New Year Folklore Festival, filled with performances and events for the whole family to observe some of the best of traditional Korean culture. As the year 2015 represents the Year of the Sheep according to Chinese astrology, visitors can take pictures with Lisa the sheep in Aesop’s Village. Calligraphy, Jianzi or “jae-gi-cha-gi,” a game in which one must keep a shuttlecock in the air without using arms and “yut-nori,” a traditional Korean board game, are just some of the anticipated events in store. Games and events will take place on all four days from Feb. 18-21, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. At the indoor stage, percussion performances will be held from the 18th to 19th and a fusion performance of Korean traditional music with modern dance will be held on the 20th to 21st.
