Every month, different organizations around Korea hold events to build community and networking opportunities amongst the expat community in the country. Though these events happen regularly, they can often be hard to find for those not associated with a particular association or industry.

For those interested in cryptocurrency and blockchain innovation, the Government Blockchain Association (GBA) is hosting a seminar that will cover the importance of blockchain, outline and future prospects of blockchain, ICO, cryptocurrencies, and other vital topics related to the blockchain industry on June 3 at Fast Five Seolleung. The event will be centered around “Blockchain & Cryptocurrency,” a new book published by Ki Kim, the GBA-Seoul Chapter President, and will be both a time to learn about the industry from GBA’s Chapter President as well as share valuable information regarding blockchain with other professionals and experts. Seoul International Women’s Association (SIWA) will host its annual Spring Luncheon at the Zest Buffet at Conrad Seoul on June 6. SIWA is the largest and longest-running international women’s organization in Korea, and has since 1962 been an place for women around the world to meet, forge friendships, and learn about Korea and other cultures. Everyone is welcome to the event, so don’t hesitate to sign up! Seating is limited, so advanced registration and prepayment are required. The Tea World Festival is a four-day event that promotes tea culture, products, and organizations in Korea. Hosted at Coex this year, the festival will showcase the four core sectors of green tea, beverage, tea wares & instruments, and facilities. Various international and domestic tea-related organizations will be at the events, and entry will be free for pre-registered individuals. In-Cosmetics Korea is an exhibition dedicated to showcasing personal care ingredients and the latest raw materials in Korean cosmetics. This event brings over 7,000 cosmetic manufacturers from Korea and overseas in order to promote innovation in ingredients and technologies. In-Cosmetics will provide 100% free quality education and consumer insights for formulators, R&D, and regulatory professionals as well as provide business and networking opportunities within the personal care ingredients community in Korea. Organized By Chosunbiz, the 2018 Future Energy Forum will be held on June 21 in the Grand Ballroom of the Plaza Hotel. With special guest speakers Paolo Tasca (executive director UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies), Omar Rahim (Energi Mine CEO), and Robert Johnston (Eurasia Group CEO) among others, the event will focus on the issues surrounding Future Energy.
