10 Business Networking Events in Seoul this July

Every month, different organizations in Korea host events that provide expats with the opportunity to network and build business connections. Whether it be a seminar, social event, trade show, or casual sundowner, these networking events can help expats get connected and better involved with the business community in the ROK.

1. ALIS Seminar | Bitcoin Center Korea

This is a special event on ALIS, a new social media concept that provides access to reliable articles, news, and people using blockchain. The seminar will provide more information on ALIS and how to use it. The founder of ALIS will talk about the project and its impact o n Japan’s economy. 2. AMCHAM SME Committee Meeting | WeWork Korea

AMCHAM Outdoor Networking Event Seoul

The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea is hosting an event on July 3 at WeWork Seoul Square. The committee meeting will touch on how the sharing economy is changing the world and the way we live. Matthew Shampine, the General Manager of WeWork Korea, and Dr. Peter Allen, Managing Director of Agoda Outside, will be speaking at this event. 3. Making Effective Business Presentations | KGCCI

The Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KGCCI) is hosting a networking event aimed to help Korean professionals create and deliver effective business presentations to foreign executives or overseas partners. Intended to assist Koreans with intermediate to advanced English skills, who wish to gain more advanced presentation skills, this event was planned by taking into consideration the biggest difficulties people face when presenting in a professional setting. 4. BCCK Special Breakfast | Four Seasons Hotel

The British Chamber of Commerce in Korea has organized a Special Breakfast with the City of London’s Lord Mayor, Mr. Alderman Charles Bowman, and the head of the Fintech Center Korea, Professor Jung Yoo-Shin. Both members and non-members of the BCCK are welcome to join in on the event, which will take place on the 6th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel. You need to register for the event by noon, Friday, July 6. Cancellations will not be accepted after this time. 5. AMCHAM General Membership Meeting | Millennium Seoul Hilton

AMCHAM Outdoor Networking Event Seoul

The American Chamber of Commerce in Korea will be hosting its general membership meeting on July 13 at the Millennium Seoul Hilton Grand Ballroom. Both members and non-members are welcome to join. This meeting will feature Kim Dong Yeon, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance, as the main speaker. The event will include networking, lunch, fireside chat, and a Q&A. 6. Korea Smart Device Trade Show 2018 (KITAS) | COEX Center

The Korea Smart Device Trade Show (KITAS) exhibition will showcase smart devices, accessories, VR/AR devices, and more to the public at Coex Hall D from July 14-16. 7. ECCK Green Drinks Seoul | Le Moulin

The Green Drinks Seoul networking event will aim to highlight the importance of the environment, sustainable development, ecology, and green growth in Korea. Hosted by the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), this networking event will feature the founder of Touch4Good Mia Park, who will give a presentation about “Upcycling” during the night. 8. Mid-Year Sundowner 2018: Aussie Summer Night | Millennium Seoul

The Mid-Year Sundowner 2018: Aussie Summer Night will be held at the Silver Member venue at the Millennium Seoul Hilton, Oakroom Garden on June 20. Hosted by the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AUSTCHAM), this year’s Aussie Summer Night will feature Aussie wines, beers, beef, and charity raffles. 9. Seoul Illustration Fair 2018 | COEX Center

The theme of this year’s Seoul Illustration Fair is “Play with Art.” Showcasing artworks from almost 100 world renowned artists through a “Mixed_Melted” special exhibition, this 4-day event is filled with events and programs including an Augmented Reality (AR) event which will allow visitors to interact with the artwork. 10. Handyarty Korea (Handmade Korea) | COEX Center

Handyarty Korea, also known as Handmade Korea, is a 4-day event that will take place in Hall C of COEX. Hosting 800 booths from over 20 countries alongside 700 exhibitions, the events will features paintings, sculptures, photos, calligraphy, and more. Performances such as live painting, a fashion show, performance art, and more will also make for an interactive experience.
