You may be familiar with the sugary, fruity flavor of caramel apples and the memories of childhood they invoke. Recently opened Alice in Fruitland offers these gourmet Western desserts along with sandwiches and other snacks. Caramel apples are made by dipping whole apples in melted caramel sauce and layering them with nuts and candies, bringing together the crispness, chewiness, juiciness of sweet, sour and nutty flavors. Alice in Fruitland is currently the only place in Seoul to find caramel apples and fruit bouquets, and the menu includes hearty sandwiches such as the popular Chicken Caesar Wrap and vegetarian-styled Mushroom Mozzarella Panini.

How do you get there? What landmarks should I be looking for?

That place is very near from Grand Hyatt Seoul Hotel. Only like 2 mins walk from the main gate of Hyatt. You can just call them when you get around there and they will come outside and wave their hands~! 070-4217-9234

My little family likes to go there for lunch on weekends. Their chicken panini is definitely one of the best sandwiches I had in Seoul. I would also recommend their bingsoo for dessert. It’s Korean ice dessert, I tried it once in some other shops and they all had red bSean paste in it. (not a fan) This little shop offers chocolate monkey bingsoo and berry bingsoo without the red bean paste. They’re very tasty. Chocolate monkey bingsoo tastes like banana split or even better. It’s worth the visit.

My girlfriends and I really enjoyed this little hole-in-the-wall gem. It was slightly difficult to find as we had to climb a steep hill for about 20 minutes, but we enjoyed the walk as we could see a very lovely part of Itaewon. The shop itself was very small but the food was amazing. We shared several of the paninis and ended our meal with a caramel apple each. The paninis took about 15 minutes to come to us, but they were worth the wait, and the caramel apples were divine. We will absolutely go back!
